Walsh Design Group (WDG) have recently purchased a drone to add to the technology and software available within the company. This latest investment allows the user to create 3D models of a site from a series of surveyed images with the drone, capture accurate real time images of work progressing on site and identify areas where work may be falling behind.
The drone also provides the capability to inspect older buildings without the need for costly scaffolding to be put in place. This has already proven beneficial when inspecting older buildings within built up areas of Cork City Centre.
The use of drones within the construction sector is slowly becoming standard practice and WDG are ensuring that as a company we keep ahead of the curve by utilising this technology.
