WDG were lead consultants on this Cork city-centre commercial development. Our clients secured planning permission for the change of use of the existing retail and office building to a retail and gym facility. The building extends to 4 floor levels above ground and also incorporates 2 basement storeys. WDG provided civil and structural design services for the redeveloped building and were also tasked with making fire safety and disability access certificate applications for the revised usage.

WDG were the lead consultants for the landlord and liaised closely with tenant-appointed consultants and local authorities to achieve compliance with all necessary regulations and permissions. Our role as Assigned Certifier meant that we had ultimate responsibility for certification of the completed project.
