A new local authority housing development is underway at Coolmucky, Cloughduv, Co. Cork for Cork County Council. The project comprises the construction of 8 residential units together with associated site and infrastructure works.
The development includes a mix of one, two and three-bed house types to meet local housing needs. The site is located on a greenfield parcel on the southern edge of Cloughduv village and incorporates internal access roads, car parking, footpaths, public lighting, landscaped open space, and service connections.
WDG provided civil and structural engineering services for the project, including site layout and levels design, surface water and foul drainage design and water services coordination. The project progressed through the Part 8 planning process and has been developed in accordance with Cork County Council design standards and national guidance for social housing developments.
